Common Questions 

  1. How many pieces in the band.
    We usually work as a 8 piece band but we can adjust the size according to your needs and our availability. (Piano, Drums, Sax, Upright Bass, 4 male vocalists and 1 female vocalist)
  2. Do you have a singer.
    Yes we have a 4 male vocalists and a female vocalist. Everyone else in the band plays an instrument.
  3. How many hours do you play.  We have two kinds of packages.A. If we are actually performing a show we usually go for a 60 to 90 minute show.  B.  For special event like Gala’s, Theme Parties, Weddings,  Anniversaries, Birthdays Etc. We usually book for a complete package of 5 hours. for example 7pm to midnight. The time can be adjusted according to your needs.  A typical 5 hour package often Includes a few hours of Piano and 3 hours with the full band.  Again this can be adjusted according to your requirements.
  4. How many breaks do you take.
    We work with you to create an agenda. Our breaks can then
    be worked around your formalities. (By the book it would be 50 minutes of playing time and 10 minutes intermission. )
  5. We also have professional DJ services available. With the 8 piece band we can include the Disc Jockey in the package to play for continuous music.
  6. What do we do for cocktail or ceremony music.
    We can supply Piano and saxophone for the cocktail hour or 
    the ceremony at minimal charge.
  7. We don’t like loud music!!
    We understand. A professional sound technician will be there
    to monitor the sound levels for the comfort of all your guests.
  8. What happens at midnight? What about overtime?
    We don’t charge overtime rates. With the 8 piece band we can
    continue to play at your request at the regular hourly rate. In some cases our DJ can continue playing music for you and your guest.
  9. How do we firm up the date with your band.
    At your request we prepare a standard contract. A deposit is required to secure the date.
  10. When do we meet. 
    Because of the distances we travel this is not always possible.  We will stay in constant contact and we usually arrive a day early to do walk throughs with the host.  We will definitely meet about a week before the event either in person or on the phone. Of course our event planning expertise is just a Phone Call / eMail away and we are happy to do all we can to ensure the success of your special event.
